Martini of
the Month

The Martini of the Month for August 2006 is the French Martini. This one is a little dangerous. They are so delicious and go down so smooth that it makes them a little to easy to enjoy.

1/2 oz Creme de Cassis liqueur
1 oz vodka
Dash of Tripple Sec
1/2 oz pineapple juice

Pour all ingredients in shaker filled with ice, shake and strain into chilled martini glass.

French Martini Stories

I went through a phase where the French Martini was the martini for me. I had to have one everywhere I went. Most bartenders did not know this one so I gave lots of directions on how to make the perfect French Martini for about a six month period. I went on my annual October cruise with my friends and not a single bar on the ship knew about the joys of the French Martini. Bar by bar I worked my way through that ship and by the time the cruise was over every bartender on the ship could make a wonderful French Martini.

That reminds me about one of the days at sea and a night in the disco. I’m sure I had a number of martinis that night. We were on the dance floor and it was a formal night so I was in my tux. We were all checking out the guys and dancing and just having fun. I of course am the blind one because one of the cute officers was checking me out and wanted to dance. By the time my best friend pointed this out to me it was too late. The ship’s dancers from the onboard entertainment were out that night. I was just having a good old time when the next thing I know I’m being bumped and grinded from front and back by two of the female dancers. I even recall one kinda spanking me a bit on the dance floor. Funny, cause I’m sure there was more than one straight guy that night that wished they were me. I on the other hand was wondering why it couldn’t be a couple of the muscular hot male dancers. Oh well... story of my life.
